Shri Parashvanath Endowed Presidential Chair in Jain Studies
Shri Parashvanath Endowed Presidential Chair in Jain Studies at UCI was established in 2015 by Dr. Jasvant Modi along with other leading donors. While the UCI already had a Department of Philosophy with a doctorate programme, the endowed chair has aided studies in Jainism by inducting more professors. Bringing in the tradition of cross-cooperation among all UC campuses, there has been an increase in the number of Jainism-based research mentors.
