Bhagvan Anantnath Endowed Chair in Jain Studies
University of Wisconsin-Madison has had an Asian Languages and Cultures (ALC) under its College of Letters and Science that trains students on yoga, mindfulness practices, human rights, sociolinguistics, classical fiction, etc., of Asia. Taking its efforts forward, in 2021, the ALC added another endowed chair to further the study of Jainism, to which Miki Chase has been appointed as the head.
It was facilitated by the contribution of the Modis and their friends with a fund amounting to $18 million.
