Bhagavan Abhinandan Jain Lectureship
This one-year program which was funded in October 2020 – the peak of COVID-19 – started well in December of that year as more than 40 participants enrolled in the program. They came from all across the world: India, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Greece, China, Sweden, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Switzerland, Spain, the UK and the USA.
The program taught the basic principles, fundamental values and daily practices of Jainism, its place in Hindu philosophy, metaphysics of Jainism along with teaching Prakrit language, Yoga based on Jainism, Epistemology, Bio Ethics and its relevance to the world today.
Bhagavan Abhinandan Endowed Chair in Jain Studies
Dr. Jasvant Modi, through his organization, JVCF, and some other Jain philanthropists from the USA, have pledged $2 million to establish Bhagavan Abhinandan Endowed Chair in Jain Studies in July 2024.
