When Drs. Modi came across Narmada Bal Ghar in their hometown, Wankaner, they were surprised to see this organization and its work. Narmada Bal Ghar prioritizes hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) education to school students between 8 and 18 years of age. Their module of education enhances learning experiences beyond traditional classroom instructions. It complements the official school curriculum by introducing students to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies.
What adds on is that Narmada Bal Ghar provides education and resources in state languages.
International School for Jain Studies (Delhi, Ahmedabad, Gujarat)
Established in 2005, the International School for Jain Studies (ISJS) is a prominent institution dedicated to the academic exploration of Jainism. Its primary objective is to integrate Jain studies into universities worldwide. To date, the summer and winter programs at the school have welcomed 1017 participants from 315 universities, schools and institutes across 40 countries, with a strong presence from the USA.
ISJS Summer School, Delhi: The school hosts seminars, conducts funded research projects and publishes papers and books on various facets of Jainism and its contemporary relevance. Collaborating with numerous universities, research organizations, and esteemed scholars of Jainism globally, ISJS continues to advance scholarly understanding and appreciation of Jain heritage.
ISJS Winter School, Ahmedabad: The Modis extend their support for the yearly winter program held in Ahmedabad, which teaches Jainism and its philosophy in relevance to the world today. Scholars joining the program from all across the world range from graduation, post-graduation and PhD students and faculty members from high schools in India and national and international universities. Some others are the enthusiasts of the philosophy.
Shrut Ratnakar Adhyan Kendra (Patan, Gujarat)
The institute recently found immense support from its Trustees, Drs. Meera and Jasvant Modi, as it organized a 30-day long Prakrit Learning Workshop, which had 44 Sadhu and Sadhvi Bhagwants, 10 Mumukshus (seekers of truth). Some of the most well-known Prakrit language experts and educators gathered at this initiative. The revered spiritual leader, Pujya Acharya Bhagwant, also blessed the endeavor.
Shrut Ratnakar also started a six-month course to facilitate higher and deeper studies in Jain Philosophy for Pujya Sadhus, Sadhvijis, mumukshus and scholars.
The largest Jain philosophy study center, Shrut Ratnakar Adhyan Kendra, was opened last year in Panchasar village in Patan. A dedicated a center for Indological studies, the institute aims to convert students into scholars to further educate the masses about Jainism – a 2500-year-old religion throughout the world!
Deccan University, Pune, Maharashtra
In support from International School of Jain Studies (ISJS), the Deccan University runs the Bhagwan Shitalnath Chair for Jain Archeology as a part of Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaelogy. While ISJS finds immense support from JVCF, Drs. Meera and Jasvant Modi have pledged to supervise this Chair in Deccan University as well.

Supporter of Bhagvan Neminath Jain Study Program: While many leading Jain philanthropists have asserted their belief in peace as the changemaker and contributed to the Bhagvan Neminath Jain Study Program at the UConn at Storrs, the JVCF has also lent its immense support. The program extends financial assistance for improvements at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences of the University.

Supporter of Jain Study Program: In May of 2021, the Department of Religion was granted a fund of $1 million to inaugurate a program aimed at advancing research on Jainism. This generous contribution originates from a collective of Jain benefactors spanning Illinois and the USA, all committed to disseminating the teachings and rich history of the religion.

Supporter of Jain Study Chair: In 2017, the Department of Religious Studies at UC Davis inaugurated The Mohini Jain Presidential Chair in Jain Studies, thanks to the generous donation from Mrs. Mohini Jain. The incumbent of this prestigious Chair will be a distinguished scholar specializing in the Jain tradition. Their role will be pivotal in spearheading the development of a comprehensive, interdisciplinary, and pioneering program dedicated to the study of Indian Religions at UC Davis.

Bhagwan Vasu Pujya Swami Post-Doctoral Fellowship: Some members, who chose to stay anonymous, of the Jain community, collaborated with the University toward an endowment of $1 million to establish a permanent program. This initiative positions Rutgers as one of the few institutions in North America offering such a distinctive program.

Supporter of Jain Study Program: The program concentrates on the study and interpretation of literature in Apabhramsa, a classical literary language that has been somewhat overlooked but holds significant importance. Jain authors, in particular, have authored numerous poetic works in this language. It aims to impart a comprehensive understanding of Apabhramsa language, its prosody, and literary genres. Additionally, it will delve into the significant contributions made by Jains to this lesser-explored facet of India’s literary heritage.
