Jain and Hindu Dharma Chair
Beginning in November 2020, the University in its efforts to support and promote religious studies. Housing Jain and Hindu Dharma Chair in its Department of Philosophy in the College of Arts and Humanities, it will help create better understanding and acceptance between Hindu communities and the State.
Dr. Jasvant Modi led more than two dozens of India-origin people to contribute toward the endowment of the Chair, with the belief that this Endowed Chair will help the students learn methods of nonviolence to resolve the current world’s issues as adopted by the likes of Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, among others.
