Endowed Chair of Jain Studies
In 2021, the Modis joined hands with Surendra Patawari (Antwerp) and Prof. Eva De Clercq of Ghent University in Belgium to contribute $65k per year for the next five years towards the establishment and management of an endowed chair, Acharya Mahapragya Jain Professorship in Jain Studies at Ghent University. The Chair holder, Dr. Tine Vekemans, has researched Jainism and migration throughout the world.
