Temples & Kitchens
Dr. Jasvant Modi has been benevolently devoting his time and resources since 1988. He helped build the first Jain temple to be constructed in Cerritos. At present, he is an avid life member of the Jain Center of Southern California (JCSC) and a board member of the Jain temples of Los Angeles. Presently, along with the help of the current president of the JCSC, Dr. Jasvant Modi is building a Jain temple in Tujunga, California.
The Modis have also helped many fundraisers that contribute to delivering food and education for the underprivileged. They, along with support from friends and family, have supported and funded many of Akshay Patra’s charitable kitchens like in Panvel, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and assisted transport vehicles.
COVID-19 Support
COVID-19 was a harrowing experience for the whole wide world. At a time when everyone needed help, when everyone was entangled in one’s own concerns and inadvertently abandon the social duties, the Modis transformed into their strongest selves to lend a hand.
They helped raise funds for individuals through JCSC and JAINA (Sadarmik Bhakti) during the pandemic. They also sent to procure oxygen concentrators at Veerayatan, Parasdham, Manav Sadhna, and funds were dispensed for oxygen plants at 16 locations in India.
